Why this is hard

The Coast Guard's checklist was written for the evaluator, not for you.

It is the evaluator's internal worksheet, published outward. It tells you which branch is responsible for checking each item. It does not tell you where you stand.

Below is the same credential in both documents: National Master 100 Ton Near Coastal.

Same credential, two documents. Theirs tells you which branch is responsible for checking each item. Ours tells you that you are 363 days short. Both are free. Neither one tells you what each of your documents has to say to be accepted, or how it has to be issued. That is the hard part, and that is what you are paying us for.

Who answers

Thirty people, and you will know their names.

We are a preparer, not a platform. Licensing consultants, captains and engineers who have been through this themselves, with software as the thing that makes them fast. When you call, a person picks up. When you need a face, you get one on video.

That is the opposite of the experience most mariners have had, and it is the part no system replaces.

The Coast Guard changed how applications are submitted

The National Maritime Center has moved mariner applications into a new system. It changes how applications reach the Coast Guard. It does not change what the Coast Guard requires, and it does not change what we do.

What that means for you
Everything free stays free. Your records, your reminders, your sea service letters, your license guidance.
With a Stress-Free MMC, we make sure your application is submitted to the Coast Guard.
Two of our Licensing Experts still check every document before the Coast Guard sees it.
We stay on it until your credential is issued.

Breathe easy.

You did the sea time. Let us handle the rest.

Or read the Coast Guard's checklist and do it yourself. We will still be here.
