Do I need sea days for my Entry Level MMC?

You can get your Entry level MMC with zero, 0, sea days.

What are the requirements?

To get your Entry Level MMC, you will need to meet the requirements on the Coast Guard form:

https://www.dco.uscg.mil/Portals/9/NMC/pdfs/checklists/mcp_fm_nmc5_56_web.pdf The Coast Guard uses this form as a checklist to make sure you meet the following:

  • You are a US Citizen or are approved to work in the US.

  • Allow the Coast Guard to do a background check

  • You are at least 16 years old, *under 18 requires a notarized statement of parental/guardian consent

  • You’ll need evidence of having passed a chemical test for dangerous drugs.

  • Make sure a notary witnesses you reciting your oath and then the notary signs and stamps your oath form.

How do I keep track of all that?
