Can I change my mailing address after I've submitted my USCG License Application?

Yes! There's a few ways to do it as things change and you want to make sure you get your new or renewed license in the right spot so you can keep on working.

To update your mailing address we recommend using the National Maritime Center chat function which you can find on the bottom left of the National Maritime Center home page.

When you chat with the NMC you want to provide the following to make their lives easier:

Your Full Name Your MMC reference number

Your Application ID number

Your Date of Birth

Once they have verified who you are you want to ask really nicely to update your mailing address that your MMC will be mailed to.

At the end of the chat make sure to save a copy of the chat transcript so you have a record of changing your address. We recommend using the email to yourself function at the top right of the chat page.
