What to do if my coast guard license is about to expire?

Apply for a Document of Continuity through MM-SEAS.

A Document of Continuity is a way to "freeze" your current domestic credentials if you are unable to renew them at the present time.

How long does Continuity last?

Documents of Continuity do not expire. They exist purely to maintain the mariner's ability to renew credentials in the future.

How much does a Document of Continuity cost?

There is no fee for a Document of Continuity.

We hope this made your life a little easier and if you have other questions the MM-SEAS team is always here to help!
