How do I make a TWIC exemption memo to renew my USCG License?

Updated: Sep 12

There are two ways to create a TWIC exemption memo. If you don't need a TWIC for work than renewing your TWIC is a waste of $125.25.

  1. You can use mmseas.com TWIC exemption memo generator and digitally sign it inside of the MM-SEAS app

  2. You can create your own TWIC exemption memo, hand sign it and scan it into your package as a pdf.

Can MM-SEAS really make a perfect TWIC exemption memo?

Yes! You can even digitally sign it inside of mmseas.com

What needs to be on my TWIC exemption memo?

You need to make sure you include the following information.

  1. Date

  2. Your Full Name

  3. MMC Number

  4. Exemption Statement: I certify that I do not require a TWIC. I understand that a name-based safety and suitability check could significantly delay the processing of my Merchant Mariner Credential Application.

  5. Your wet Signature (If you are doing it yourself)

We hope this made your life a little easier and if you have other questions the MM-SEAS team is always here to help!
